“James Leading Adele in Race For U.K. Albums Chart Crown” – Billboard

22nd March 2016

Billboard magazine writes, “James is on the verge of knocking Adele from the summit of the U.K. albums chart for what would be the British rock group’s first No. 1 in nearly two decades.

“James, which enjoyed hits with Sit Down and Laid in the early 1990s, is on top at the midway stage of the chart week with Girl At The End Of The World (BMG), the group’s 14th studio album.

Girl is No. 1 on the Official Top 100 Albums Chart Update, some 2,000 combined sales ahead of the second-placed album, Adele’s 25 (XL).

“If James can hang on until the Official U.K. Albums Chart is published late Friday local time, it’ll be just the band’s second No. 1 following 1998’s The Best Of – James.”
