James get disorderly

Disorder Magazine joined the band in the House of Promo down in London earlier this month, to interview them about the forthcoming album La Petite Mort, and film live performances of two of the tracks on it – Frozen Britain, and the wonderful Interrogation.

The interview has now been published on their YouTube channel, and the two tracks will follow in the next week or so, so keep an eye out for them – you don’t want to miss these.

Co. Wicklow here we come

Pleased to confirm the band will be making their merry way back to Ireland this summer, to play the second annual Groove Festival, held on the Killruddery Estate, in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

James are second on the bill at this one and take the stage on Saturday 5 July. Both Day and Weekend tickets are on sale now from groovefestival.tickets.ie, either online, or in person at one of their many outlets across Ireland. They are priced as follows: Adult Day Ticket: €49.00 (+€4 booking fee), Adult Weekend: € 79.00 (+€5.50 booking fee), Minor (4yrs to 15yrs) Day Ticket: €10.00 (+€2.00 booking fee), Minor (4yrs to 15yrs) Weekend Ticket: €17.00 (+€2.50 booking fee), Under 4yrs – free of charge, however please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and registered in advance.

Theatro Vrachon – ‘Theatre at the Rocks’ – Athens on sale today – with VIP Soundcheck!

Greece, we’re coming back to you this summer. Please come and join us on 15 July at the magnificent and aptly named Theatro Vrachon or ‘Theatre at the Rocks’ outside of Athens. The venue – in the open air and with a backdrop hewn from rock – is lovely, high up on a hill with city views and not far from the centre.

We’re also pleased to confirm that for the first time, we’re bringing the ever popular ‘V.I.P. Soundcheck Experience’ to our fans in Greece too. These include access to 3 songs of the band’s soundcheck before the show, a short Q & A session with the band, a souvenir V.I.P. laminate and an exclusive piece of James merchandise to take home with you, plus a General Admission ticket to the concert and priority early entry to the venue.

The VIP Soundcheck tickets are strictly limited in number, and available only from the wearejames.com web shop; they are on sale now – today 17 March, from 10am (GMT) or 12 noon in Greece (EET).

We have also arranged for our subscribers to have a two hour window this morning to purchase standard tickets before the local promoter officially announces the show to the public. One for the night owls – Radio 2 Spoken Word Session with Janice Long

Tim will be joining Janice Long on Radio 2 tomorrow night for a Spoken Word Session at midnight – late Monday night, but technically Tuesday – for approximately an hour. Tune in on 88-91 FM, DAB digital radio, digital telly or the online iPlayer.

Latitude Bound

James’ performance at Latitude was announced live on air on BBC Radio 6 Music today by Lauren Laverne – the band will take the Obelisk Stage on Saturday 19 July. Other artists appearing on their stage are Damon Albarn (fancy a kickabout…?) and Bombay Bicycle Club.

The band are delighted to be returning to Latitude this year, as expressed today by Tim, “We love playing Latitude because it embraces creativity in all its many faces; not just a dole queue of bands. This raises it above the corporate norm into the realm of something more magical. May the sun shine down on us all.”

James will be appearing LIVE in session on 6 Music with Lauren Laverne this Thursday 6 March between 10am-1pm. Two tracks played live plus interview.

A third track will be recorded during the session, and held for playback on the Radcliffe & Maconie show  between 1-4pm that afternoon.
