James Live in 2008 – The Album
3rd December 2008

Dear All,
We thought you would like to know what we’ve been up to since we got back from the States. One of the projects we’ve been busy with, and of which we are particularly proud, is putting together a new live album. We recorded all of last April’s UK tour, and painstakingly sifted through, compiling our favourite versions from all the shows. It has been mixed excellently (but don’t tell him we said that) by Lee ‘Muddy’ Baker, and consists of fourteen tracks of pure brilliance. This has been created from start to finish by James ourselves, and will be available only at the concerts later this month.
As it’s a strictly limited edition of 5,000, there will only be a certain number for sale from the merchandise stall at each venue. It would make an excellent present for family, friends, or people you owe money to, and at £10 is truly a steal, so be sure to bring your Christmas Club money.
Much love and thanks,
James

Update from James HQ
17th November 2008
The band returned from their North American tour a few weeks ago. The dates were a joy and success for all involved. In case you didn’t make it to any of the shows, you can catch up with what happened here on wearejames.com – check out Jules the Mobile Yoga Master’s ramblings and Larry’s photos in the Blog, or read through fans’ reports over on the forum. Here are a few quotes from reviews of the shows:
“Instantly it seems like James never left, as the energy and emotion simmering up on opener ‘Bubbles’ sounds as fresh as early-’90s James records like ‘Seven’ and ‘Laid.'”- Billboard
“It’s not often a band can rediscover its power after a seven-year break, but it seems like James never left us. James sounds good as new.” – Miami Herald
The band are now preparing for a UK arena tour this Winter. Check the Live page for tour dates and ticket info. Hope to see you there.
