Warm-up in Glasgow this Friday

James will play at the Oran Mor in Glasgow this Friday as a special warm-up for T in the Park. The venue, in the crypt of the former Kelvinside parish church, only holds 480, so be quick. Tickets are on sale now via a special pre-sale link which is available to members of the wearejames.com forum (sign in and check the index) and our MySpace friends (check your bulletins).

We are pleased to announce that James will be calling in at the Edinburgh Fringe en route to Belladrum this August to play at the Corn Exchange on Friday the 10th.

More summer festivals confirmed – Portugal and Latvia

James will be returning to Portugal for one of their biggest summer events, Sudoeste Festival, on Sunday 5th August 2007, and will also be embarking on their first ever visit to Latvia to headline the Positivus Festival in Salacgriva on Saturday 28th July.

For more information on Sudoeste Festival, which takes place near the fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar, Alentejo, please visit their website at musicanocoracao.pt. Tickets are on sale now and available from Ticketline Portugal. Day tickets cost €40, and four-day passes inclusive of camping cost €70.

Tickets for Positivus Festival are on sale now, costing Ls 20 (approx. € 29) for 1-day tickets and Ls 30 (approx. € 43) for 2-day tickets, and can be purchased online here, via the link from their website here, or from ticketservice.lv. The Life and Times of James on Xfm Manchester Tonight

Tim, Jim and Larry recently joined Dave Haslam in the Xfm Manchester studio for an in-depth documentary interview as well as a special acoustic session, including tracks from their new singles collection, Fresh As A Daisy. Tune in tonight from 8:50pm.

James in The Sky Bar with Key 103

This Friday at 5pm, James will be performing live at Cloud 23 – The Sky Bar – on the twenty third floor of the Hilton Hotel in Manchester in front of a group of just 20 lucky fans. Today is ‘James Day’ on Key103, and they’re giving away ten pairs of tickets to the event, one an hour, so tune in for your chance to win.

Please note there will be no tickets made available for this event, the only way to get on the guestlist is to listen to Key103 throughout the day today, Thursday 10th May.

James to headline Radar Festival Instanbul

2nd May 2007

James will be kicking off the summer festival season with a trip to Turkey for the Radar Festival in Istanbul on Saturday 30th June. Tickets go on sale this week, and are available online from Biletix. Day tickets cost 65 YTL, which is approximately 36 euros.

‘Fresh As A Daisy’ out now!

James’s career-spanning singles collection, Fresh As A Daisy – The Singles is released today, 30th April. Full details of the release are available here including the recommended “band’s cut” double CD – containing all the band’s singles to date right through from 1983 to 2007 – as well as the accompanying DVD. The band will mark the release of the album with a special hometown instore set at Manchester’s HMV on Market Street at 5pm this evening, followed by a signing session. Tonight the band will play a tiny gig in front of an audience of just 300 lucky competition winners at the place where Tim first met Jim all those years ago – Club Academy (AKA The Cellar Bar) in Manchester University Student Union.

UK Tour Starts Tonight

20th April 2007

James kick off their UK tour tonight at Glasgow’s Carling Academy, following two triumphant warm-up dates in Dublin and Carlisle. The sold-out tour will run for a week, ending with a homecoming show at Manchester Evening News Arena. Birmingham band The Twang support at all dates.
