Last of the summer festivals is here—and a rare bargain for families

14th September 2016

OnRoundhay in Leeds’ Roundhay Park this weekend marks the last festival of the season, and it’s a great one to bring the kids along to. Tickets for under-12s are FREE, and if you’ve older children check out the family tickets priced at £100 for two adults + two 13-16 year olds. (Adult tickets are £45 each, so effectively only a fiver each for the two teens!). It’s also meant to be a very family friendly event.

Also please note we’re sorry to announce that Adrian won’t be able to join us for this show, as his talents are committed elsewhere for the night. But not to worry—standing in for him on lead guitar we’ll have band buddy and very competent Stuart Cartwright (formerly of Scottish indie band Unkle Bob), and Stuart’s been beavering away preparing for the occasion. Please give him a warm welcome!

Update: We now have confirmed stage times for this event, James close the show on the Main Stage, and are due on from 9-10:30pm. You can find times for the other artists appearing throughout the day including Primal Scream and Wolf Alice on the OnRoundhay website.

22nd August 2016

“We are absolutely delighted to announce we will be playing the Liverpool Echo Arena with The Charlatans in December. It’s always great to perform on the same stage as a band you admire and respect and this is one of those occasions. See you there, Jim Glennie.”

Tickets for James and The Charlatans at Echo Arena on 10th Decemeber go on general sale this Friday 26 August at 9:30am, visit the Live page for ticketing links.

Tim Burgess of The Charlatans adds, “The Charlatans and James have the best fans in the world – both bands have been talking for a while hoping to get something sorted. So pleased this is happening. It’s going to be a BIG day.”

Dear John: Magical new video by Peter Vacz

6th July 2016

So proud to present our new music video for Dear John, made in Budapest with great care by the wonderful Péter Vácz (of All I’m Saying fame). It’s a stunner.

Péter describes it thus, “Dear John [the movie] tells the story of a couple’s life-changing trip up a mountain. On their way they are interrupted by a mysterious black cat who leads them deep into the woods where they discover dark secrets.”

Premiered exclusively by Under The Radar, you can watch it here. If it delights you half as much as it does us, pass it on.
