With the new album only a month away and the first single all over the airwaves, the question on everyone’s lips has been, ‘When’s the tour?’ Well we are delighted to announce the La Petite Mort Tour of the UK!

Both regular and V.I.P. Soundcheck tickets will be available. The V.I.P. package includes access to 3 songs of the soundcheck, a seat in the first 5 rows or Standing/General Admission, priority early entry, exclusive gift, and souvenir laminate to take home with you.

The general sale begins on Friday 9th May at 10:30am. Tickets will be available from the venue box offices as well as ticketmaster.co.uk (tel. 0844 811 0051) and gigsandtours.com (tel. 0844 826 2826).

Your gig ticket purchase automatically includes the purchase of the new album. You have to click the link above the seating plan that says ‘to purchase tickets without an album click here’ if you don’t wish to buy it. But please do! The band will be playing many songs from La Petite Mort and request your familiarity and participation for maximum enjoyment.

This applies to both the pre-sale and general sale on ticketmaster.co.uk.

We’ve asked that should any of our fans find they’ve bought the album by accident in their panic to get tickets, they’re given a swift refund upon contacting Ticketmaster, so please get in touch with them if you realise you’ve made a mistake.

We feel we’ve made one of our strongest albums in La Petite Mort and are ‘dying’ to reveal our live take on it to you on this tour, along with a few other familiar faces. The band are delighted to be making a first trip to Norway this summer, to play at Bergenfest in the city of Bergen on 13 June. The town, we are told, is one of the rainiest in Europe and also very beautiful.

The open air shows take place in a medieval fortress and castle located in the city’s historic centre. The line up is interesting and varied – other acts playing over the 5 day event include Blondie, Franz Ferdinand, Robert Plant, Wild Beasts, Lana Del Ray, Simple Minds, and ZZ Top!

This August, the Umbrian town of Massa Martana will host the first ever Umbria Rock Festival, and James are delighted to be joining the bill on Sunday 3 August. Other acts performing over the course of the three day event are Paul Weller, The Charlatans, Courteeners, Kaisers Chiefs, The Cribs, and Peter Hook and The Light.

The evening before their sold out show at Castlefield Bowl, headlining Summer In The City, you’ll have a chance to see the band play in a somewhat more intimate setting at Oxford O2 Academy.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am this Friday, 11 April, priced at £35 (plus fees) and will be available from a variety of outlets – check the Live page for details. The general sale for Electric Ballroom in May sold out within minutes, so do be quick if you’d like to join us in Oxford.

There will be V.I.P. Soundcheck tickets available too, priced at £70 + fees. These include:

• One General Admission ticket, with priority early entry to the venue
• A unique opportunity to attend 3 songs of the band’s pre-show soundcheck
• A 15 minute Q & A session with the band
