Rare live track yours for the taking

16th September 2010

Remember the Live in 2008 album that was so hard to get hold of?  Well if you weren’t one of the lucky 5000, now’s your chance to download one of the songs – Born of Frustration – in return for becoming a fan on Facebook (and hopefully helping us spread the word too, though that is optional).  Thanking you in advance…

Album in stores across America today

14th September 2010

The 2CD set ‘The Morning After The Night Before’ hits the shelves in the USA today.  You can order your copy online from Amazon.com, download it from iTunes (with exclusive bonus track All My Letters), or do it the old fashioned way with a trip to your local record shop.

The North American begins in just under a week –  there are still tickets available for many of the shows, check the Live page for the full itinerary and ticketing links.  Ed Harcourt is supporting for all dates so it’s worth getting there early for the full evening’s entertainment.

Yorkshire Gold

1st July 2010

James have just been announced as headliners for the Saturday night at the fourth annual Bingley Music Live festival this September.

The three day event will be held in the picturesque Myrtle Park in the heart of Bingley,  from Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th September, and has an excellent reputation amongst both festival-goers and bands who have played there in previous years.  It’s quite an intimate festival, with a capacity of just 15,000, and it has been praised for having a powerful and punchy sound system as well as a great atmosphere and quality line-up, and because it’s funded and run by the local council they are able to keep tickets prices low.

James will be playing on Saturday the 4th.  The full line-up is yet to be announced, however there will be 22 bands playing over the course of the weekend, and entry on the Friday night is free of charge.

Weekend tickets allow access on Saturday and Sunday, and are priced at a very reasonable £30 (plus fees).  They are available now from the BML website, as well as the following independent outlets:

You may also purchase tickets (in person only) from the Bingley Council Shop, Keighley Town Hall, and Bradford Tourist Information.

NB there is no camping on site, so if you don’t live locally you will need somewhere to stay.  Book your accommodation early if you want to have a good choice and reasonable prices.  There are also independent campsites in the area, please see the camping & accommodation section of the BML site for further information, as well as details of the Park & Ride facility.  There are no day tickets available at this time, and it’s unlikely there will be any released, as they would only be made available in the event the weekend tickets do not sell out.

We do not yet have the stage time, however the curfew on Saturday night is 9:30pm (full length set, mind), so there may be time for some of you to make the last train home!
