19th April 2021

First official single ‘Beautiful Beaches’ is being played by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music today – tune in from 4PM to listen!

“We love how this song is so uplifting, focusing on new beginnings. I like the idea that many might not know the backstory and hear it as a post Covid holiday song! Praying that the lyrics don’t turn out prophetic.” – Tim

‘All The Colours Of You’ – Our 16th album! – Out 4th June

1st March 2021

“Hi everybody and welcome to our 16th album, ‘All The Colours Of You’.
Recorded in a strange, disparate reality, the album brought a unique set of challenges. It’s definitely a different record for us. We have been pushed somewhere new and that’s exciting.

I hope you’ll enjoy the moods, grooves and uplift, admirably displayed on our first single and title track, which is out today.

There is always a stage in the making of an album when you start to picture playing the songs live. You imagine the volume and power of a live performance, the fear and adrenalin, and of course a crowd. That direct communication that makes gigs so special, emotive and exhilarating.

It has been so long. But we will get there.
In the meantime, enjoy the record. Stick it on in the living room, the car, or wherever and turn it up.

Get to know the songs, make them old friends and get ready to sing them with verve and volume next time we can all get together.

Best Wishes, Jim from James.”

Music Feeds – At-Home Festival to Help Fight Food Poverty

23rd January 2021

Delighted to confirm James are participating in Music Feeds – The At-Home Festival to Help Fight Food Poverty. This virtual festival & fundraiser was spearheaded by our very own Saul Davies to raise money for charities to help fight food poverty.

The festival offers one-of-a-kind performances specially recorded by more than 40 artists – including a couple of exclusive treats from our good selves, as well as Blossoms, The Slow Readers Club and many more – to raise funds for FareShare, Stagehand and Help Musicians.

The event takes place on 28th and 29th January beginning at 8pm GMT each night, with a single £15 ticket giving access to all acts across both nights.

Music Feeds s supported by Co-op, who’ve donated £1 million to be distributed along with net proceeds from ticket sales to the three charities: 70% to FareShare, 20% to Stagehand, and 10% to Help Musicians.

Saul says, ”At Music Feeds you’ll get never-seen performances from leading artists, uncover new bands, and get up-close and personal with interviews. The festival will be broadcast to your Smart TV and devices over two nights, and festival goers can even join the sofa mosh-pit via the simultaneous Twitter listening party.

“Additional artists who have been unable to perform have donated unique items for the companions Music Feed charity auction.”

“With a single £15 ticket giving access to both nights, the festival is priced to allow as many people as possible to support the causes. There is also the option for festival goers to donate more. We are grateful to our ticketing partner DICE, who have significantly reduced their charges to only recover their costs.

“So, if you want to take positive action to end hunger, buy a ticket for yourself, buy one for a friend or donate one to charity, but please help by buying a ticket at MusicFeeds.org.”

Tim adds:

The Co-op are running a competition on twitter to win a place at a digi (Zoom) meet with a few of the band after the event, you can find out more and enter here if you fancy: twitter.com/coopuk
