Visor Fest :(
12th September 2019
I’m afraid we’ve had bad news regarding Visor Fest in Benidorm which the band were due to headline on Saturday. Please see announcement below from the organisers:
“We are extremely saddened to announce today that Visor Festival 2019 is being cancelled. Following full consultation with all the relevant authorities including public bodies and external advisors, we are sorry to inform you that due to the impact that the extreme weather experienced in the area and the severe weather warnings, we are forced to cancel the Festival.
“It is a very hard decision, but the best one taking into consideration all the circumstances. It is our belief that the safety and experience of our customers must always come first and as such we are unable to deliver the festival in these conditions Heavy rains make impossible to ensure the top quality standards Visor Festival always offer. Additionally, the red alert made by the local authorities makes us unable to keep the safety for all the bands, workers, fans and attenders what it is our absolute first priority for us.
“Refund advise for festival tickets and food and beverage payment will be shaped as soon as possible.
“We will keep working in order to bring all our fans this amazing music experience next year.
“Thanks in advance for your understanding. Your support to our project means everything for us. See you at VisorFest2020!”
The band were very much looking forward to this and we know many of you were too, commiserations to everybody affected by this.

* DATE CHANGE MADRID * (So sorry, folks)
29th August 2019
So sorry to have to break this news, but for logistical reasons the show at La Riviera Madrid scheduled for 12 September has been moved to the previous day, Wednesday 11th September 2019.
Huge and sincere apologies to everyone affected by this.
If you can make the earlier date, your original ticket will be valid for the concert on the 11th, so there’s nothing you need to do but come along.
If you can’t make it on the 11th, you can return your concert tickets for a refund, please contact the promoter at atencionalcliente[at]livenation[dot]es to arrange this.
We know there are fans who’d booked travel already – so so sorry to mess you about – if you’re amongst them and can’t amend your travel plans to attend the new date, please apply for a refund for your concert tickets (as above) and then contact us at madrid[at]wearejames[dot]com so we can also arrange special access to a future show by way of apology.
Here’s the official announcement from the promoter:
“Our sincere apologies, but due to logistical reasons we have had to move the James show at La Riviera in Madrid to Wednesday September 11, 2019. We have tried our best to find a better solution & appreciate your understanding.
All tickets for the original date (September 12) will still be valid, and can simply be brought to the venue on September 11.
Should this new date not be possible for you to attend, please contact atencionalcliente@livenation.es”
Again, so very very sorry to all affected.

North American Tour kicks off today
5th July 2019
The North American adventure begins tonight at the sold out Rebel Complex in Toronto.
James are due to take the stage at roughly 8:30pm in Toronto, and both headliners get about an hour for their set throughout the tour. There’s support from Dear Boy as well so come along nice and early.
Stage time will vary from venue to venue, keep an eye on our twitter (@wearejames) for daily updates.
At time of writing there are a few V.I.P. Soundcheck places available for the following shows (note we’ve had a few returns and added a few extra for the previously sold out dates—if you missed out when they went on sale, you may get a second chance if you’re quick):
Boston, Silver Spring MD, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Reno, Los Angeles. These are available exclusively from our web shop partner here.
Take a peek at what the soundchecks are like on our youtube channel here if you’re curious. They’re good fun.
You’ll find the full tour itinerary and standard ticket links on our live page, and a quick word of warning for those who haven’t bought tickets yet – New York, Silver Spring MD and Milwaukee are very close to selling out.
Don’t forget to get familiar with Living In Extraordinary Times before the gig, for maximum enjoyment! You can buy or stream it here.
James & The Psychedelic Furs co-headline North American Tour this summer
1st April 2019
North America, it’s your turn! Newsflash from our own Jim Glennie:
”It is with great pleasure that we announce we are playing the States again. After a wait of five years we are finally back.
It’s a huge privilege to be playing with ’The Psychedelic Furs‘. A band that James have loved and respected since our formation.
Make sure you get there early to catch opening act ’Dear Boy‘. A great triple bill of bands.“
Mr. Booth adds, ”To achieve maximum pleasure from our show please give a listen to our new CD ‘Living In Extraordinary Times’. We improvise and change our set on a nightly basis so expect the unexpected.“
Aye the band are returning to the U.S. and Canada for a co-headline tour with The Psychedelic Furs this summer.
Tickets on sale this Friday at 10am local time, links on the wearejames.com live page.
We’ll also have VIP Soundchecks at nine of these shows (sorry it couldn’t be more!): Toronto, Boston, Silver Spring MD, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Reno, LA. These will only be available from the TM Stores web shop here on our site, for this tour it’s via an upgrade which requires purchase (elsewhere) of a standard concert ticket too. Take care to avoid confusion when buying your tickets, as some venues and outlets offer ‘VIP’ options of their own, which we’re not involved with and don’t include entry to the soundcheck.
UPDATE: New date added – Stern Grove in San Francisco on Sunday 4th August. This is part of the Stern Grove Free Concert Series (free entry on first come, first served basis) held on Sunday afternoons in the open air in a beautiful setting. This is another James/Furs co-headline.
The Living In Extraordinary Times Tour is now underway!
6th March 2019
And we’re off! The much anticipated Living In Extraordinary Times Tour kicks off tonight in Margate.
Over half the dates are already sold out so be quick if you’d like to join us—you’ll find links and phone numbers for official ticket outlets on our live page. If you’ve got your heart set on one of the sold out dates, check out the authorised fan-to-fan resale sites (capped at face value + fees) we have listed, and keep an eye on the hashtag #ExtraordinaryTix on twitter. Also worth asking the venue if there’s a waiting list you can join.
Be sure you come down nice and early to catch the very special acoustic set prior to the main electric set. You’ll want to be inside the venue by 8pm at the latest. You snooze, you lose!
Don’t forget to take a peek at the merch stand for an array of Fair Wear certified t-shirts (some are organic cotton as well) plus by popular demand our brand new James scarves! As well as an assortment of other goodies.

“We are really looking forward to returning to Greece. We have so many friends there it feels like our second home.”
