The band will be calling in to The Cutting Room whilst in New York for a KEXP live session and interview with John Richards on Monday the 20th.

This will go out live on air at 12pm Eastern Time or 5pm in the UK, and you can listen online via the KEXP website. If you miss it, don’t despair – it will be archived on their site for at least two weeks; maybe indefinitely.

Today BBC Radio 6 Music’s latest #6MusicLive session comes to a close, and naturally they’ve saved the best – our boys – for last!

They’ll be performing in front of a packed audience at the historical Maida Vale studios at 12pm today, and you can watch live online via the BBC website – the event broadcast starts at 10am.

You’ll also be able to watch via the BBC’s ‘red button’ and the iPlayer this evening, from 7pm.

Our tiny friend the ticket fairy will be waving her wand in the direction of some lucky James fans over the course of the next few days.

Absolute Radio have given us an allocation of fan tickets for our session at Hard Rock Café Manchester on Monday 13th October, and to make sure everyone has a fair shot at them, we’ll have a few different ways you can enter the draw.

Here’s the first: Simply e-mail your name, age, address, and telephone number to us at absolutejames[at]wearejames[dot]com, before 6pm on Monday 6th October…

Note that winners’ places will not be transferable (to avoid the possibility of them being sold for profit), so you’ll need to bring ID that matches the details submitted for the draw. You also need to be 18+ for this event.

We’ll have further opportunities (with separate drawings – extra ways to enter!) on the James facebook page and @wearejames twitter account – so ‘like’ and ‘follow’ and then keep an eye on your news feed over the next few days.

Please note you’ll need to be free and able to get to Hard Rock Café in Manchester on Monday 13th October by around 6:30pm to check in, the session should finish at approximately 9pm. With the band tucked away in bonnie Scotland this week for a writing session (cause for celebration in itself!), we have something extra special planned… How would you like a chance to see the band (in 5-piece form) play a super intimate acoustic show? Let’s set the scene… Five of them, 165 of you, in the former jail and courthouse Tolbooth in Stirling. An hour-long acoustic set, and since it’s such a tiny place we figured a little Q & A after their set was doable, you can grill them about the newly sown seeds for album number 14, perhaps!

Tuesday 7th October at 8pm. Tickets priced at £25, plus a ridiculously low booking fee of just £1 thanks to Tolbooth’s thrifty box office.

To try to ensure these tickets wind up in the fans’ hands at face value, we’ve set this sale up with box office collection (on the night) as the only option, and the tickets are non-transferable – you’ll need to present the card you booked with and ID in order to collect them. So you won’t be able to sell these on – nor will you be able to buy tickets for a friend/family member unless you’re coming to the gig with them to collect the tickets. We realise this may inconvenience a few, but we figure it’s a small price to pay to keep these out of the hands of touts!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Wed 1st Oct) at noon and will be available from Tolbooth’s box office counter, website, and over the phone on 01786 27 4000. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, and there’s a 4 ticket limit per purchase.

Thrilled to confirm the band are playing a live session for Absolute Radio back on home turf next month! We’re booked into the Hard Rock Cafe Manchester for the event – hosted by old band pal Pete Mitchell – which takes place on 13th October. There won’t be tickets for sale for this session but there are three ways you can win them.

1) Tune in to Absolute Radio between now and then for chances to win them on air.
2) Hard Rock are running a competition on their Facebook page.

Highlights from the gig will be played on Pete Donaldson’s Evening Show on Thursday 23 October and again on Sunday night Music Night Music Club on 26 October; and video of the session will be available to watch online at absoluteradio.co.uk.

Well well well, New York, the band are finally coming back! On 21st October, James play a one off U.S. show in the grand ballroom at Webster Hall.

James have been invited to play at the BBC’s historic Maida Vale studios next month, as part of 6 Music’s #6MusicLive series. This comprises five sessions running from 6th-10th October, featuring bands and artists chosen by the BBC for ‘perfectly encapsulating the alternative spirit of 6 Music’. James will be closing the series, appearing on 10th October.

6 Music are giving away a limited number of tickets to each session – you can register for a chance to win a pair here on their website. Those at home will be able to watch the sessions live online. Afterwards there will be highlights available to watch each evening via the ‘red button’, and highlights on demand online for 30 days.
